I am very happy and thankful! 🙏
I feel so honoured to receive the Leadership in Care Award at the 2025 Wedu Women’s Leadership Awards.
As a migrant mother, mentor and community leader, this award means a lot to me. Many people, especially women, do care work every day — raising children, helping elders, and supporting families — but this work is often not seen or valued.
💬 I shared in my speech:
“Care work is everywhere — it’s raising children, supporting the elderly, looking after your neighbour, and holding families together. It’s the backbone of our society, yet it’s often undervalued, unpaid, and taken for granted.
Winning this award is a reminder that care is not just work — it is leadership. It sustains society, builds resilience, and shapes future generations.”
My journey is far from perfect — it’s about trying, staying consistent, and learning through mistakes.
Thank you Wedu for believing that care is leadership and for giving space to voices like ours.
This award is not only for me but for all the people who care for others every day — with love, patience, and strength.
